Talon’s Blade is a medieval dark fantasy adventure game with a direction-based melee combat system. It is a linear, narrative-driven campaign with light RPG elements. As the story progresses, you gain access to magic spells, weapon and armor sets, alchemical ingredients for potion brewing, and new combat stances to change how you fight. In Talon’s Blade, you play as the last surviving member of a league of assassins called the Talons. A traitor among the ranks of the nation you serve has brought low the Talons, and now you are all that remains. Take up arms and seek vengeance against the one who betrayed you.
Unique Direction Based Combat
With four directions of attack and defense, the combat of Talon’s Blade provides both a strategic and reactionary gameplay experience. Overwhelm your foe with a flurry of strikes, or wait for them to make the first move and punish their attack with a well-timed parry. Feint your attack to throw your opponent off balance or kick them off a ledge. You can focus on increasing your combo to cast a devastating spell or take an elixir to empower each strike. Feel the flow of combat as you deflect incoming attacks and respond with lethal strikes. Explore the strengths and weaknesses of each foe, looking for an opening to execute the killing blow.
Combo Activated Magic
The combos you create when attacking empower you to unleash devastating magical attacks upon your enemies. Conjure destructive fire storms, trap your enemies in entropic stasis, and summon lightning from the heavens to smite your foes. The higher the combo, the more potent the spell. How this power manifests depends on the spells you unlock throughout your adventure. The more adversaries you defeat, the more you can upgrade your arsenal of combo-finishing spells.
Arms, Armor, & Alchemy
To arms! Discover eighteen unique weapon and armor sets, each with an array of attributes to customize your look and stats. Utilize the equipment that compliments your play style. Your equipment determines not only your damage and defense but also your attack speed and stamina cost of actions. Tailor your perfect combo of speed and lethality to devastate your foes. Harvest potent alchemical ingredients from land and fallen foes to craft powerful elixirs to aid you on your journey. Brew some soul elixirs to regenerate your magic, craft firebombs to set your enemies and fields alight, and create healing potions or harmful poisons.
